A escape to my friend Stefano and his beautifull wife Akko , having just finished a two weeks seafood promotion in his highly prestigious Osteria Lafranchi in Robasacco Ticino region . He organized and degustation dinner for friends ! And wow , that was a grand gourmet dinner !
Four staters to get into the mood , seared tuna with pine nuts and herbs on a platter with orange fennel salad , very tasty, curried baby shrimps and a light marinated salmon , baked sea scallops and white fish cake , and tossed greens with mixed seafood in balsamic vinaigrette !
Followed by a crab gazpacho , green curry prawns and lobster ravioli . All excellent , we then had honey glazed shrimps , nice and crunchy ! We then finally got to the main course ! Poached salmon wrapped in spinach leaf with a light creamy butter sauce !
The salmon was served with garden vegetables and oppsss two William potatoes which was actually Ako main dish , with morrel mushroom sauce ! Sorry , the potatoes taste really nice ! Found out that a wild rice was reserved for the rest .
Dessert for me was a light tartelet of garden picked raspberries , and as you can see some yellow ones also , very sweet and yummy ! Dinner finished with coffee and "pousse cafe " push the coffee , liquors that are supposed to make you digest this kind of dinner ! But with the quantity of pousse cafe we had ! Hahhaha it was more a night for the history books as it was memorable event ! Hats of for Stephano and Ako for hosting such a great dinner !
