For me chicken is so much fun to cook , I woke up this morning , opened up the fridge and found 4 chicken legs ... Hmmm what to do with them ???
I hear so much discussion about chicken… chicken breasts, chicken thighs, light meat, white meat, dark meat, can eat it, can’t eat it, gets stuck, doesn’t get stuck… wow!
When you cook a boneless skinless chicken breast until its as dry as wood put the whole hunk on a plate and serve it naked ,im not surprised you cant eat it!
Chicken doesn’t need to be cooked to death. Most home cooks overcook their proteins; turning them into dry hockey pucks on a plate.
This is my idea for today ,
I marinated the drumsticks in milk and spices with half a egg . Before rolling them in flour and deep frying it in hot oil till golden brown ...
The thighs were deboned , then marinated in my special homemade Asian BBQ sauce with a little extra ginger , then pan fried or if you prefer grilled with marination, then sliced ...
Bones was used in a ginger chili leaf soup with pepper , onions , garlic !!
Steamed jasmine rice , chili sauce and a special liver sauce made the table a picture perfect meal .
Drinks ? Cranberrie juice ,a match .
That's how to enjoy chicken legs in the morning ... Yes it's only chicken , but its more fun to make it look nice and taste even better . So take that extra time setting it up on table before you enjoy it .
